Sometimes all we have is our word. The commitment between truth and a lie. Wow, how harsh of a statement. What is the opposite of truth? If Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life; than the opposite of truth would NOT be Jesus...
Dear Lord,
I am running in a million directions. Words roll off my tongue in a split second. I'll do the checkbook. I'll get those crazy socks! Give me the desire to keep my commitments to my words. Give me the wisdom to know that my tongue needs to be controlled and do not make a pledge I can not keep. If I say I am going to pray for a friend, Jesus know that this is the greatest privilege I can think of.
Lord God, thank you for the ability to communicate with You and others.
